The Human Deal is an exploration into what it means to be human, on this planet, at this time in our evolution. To apply Mark Twain’s famous quip about the weather to the subject of human affairs, it could be said that everyone talks about being human, but nobody does anything about it.
It does seem only human to have wondered, somewhere along the way, why are we here? Or, what is the point? And there is the cliche that says being born here doesn’t come with an owner’s manual. Yet perhaps it does, and we are surrounded by instruction and guidance at every turn, from the amazing functionality of our physical bodies, to the awesome display of nature, to the laws that govern the expansion of the universe and everything we see and experience and think.
Without presuming to have any answers, this is a journey of discovery that we are engaged in here. And it often seems the case that the more one discovers about anything, the more beautiful and meaningful it becomes.
Many of the ideas discussed here are informed by and inspired by the research and insights of R. Armin, D. McKay, and the The Emin Way, a group dedicated to the understanding of human purpose and evolution.
